If not, what is the difference(other than the obvious shape difference.)
Oh yes, I mean the kind of bulbs you would put in a lamp fixture, not a special aquarium bulb.
Yes it will, the bad thing about them is the fact that they easily trigger algae growth and make the tank look a kind of ugly/cloudy.
